Nick Musgrove: Screenwriter

Nick Mugrove penned the International Emmy nominated series, Wrong Kind of Black with Boori Monty. The series launched Series Mania 2018 in Melbourne before being broadcast on ABC and iView to critical acclaim. The show received multiple international awards and nominations and Nick was nominated for an Australian Writers Guild Award for his work.

Nick wrote for both series of the Channel 10 prime time sitcom, How to Stay Married and was a contributing writer on six episodes of Squinters, Season Two. He was the lead writer for the 2018 AACTA Awards where he wrote for host Stephen Curry and international stars including Nicole Kidman and Simon Baker.

 Nick is a Screen Australia ‘Enterprise People’ Award winner and the head writer for the online sketch group The Peloton, which appeared in several episodes of Foxtel’s The Slot. In LA, Nick wrote and directed the comedy pilot Diplomatic Immunity with the Emmy nominated production company EUE Sokolow and wrote The Peloton’s sketches for #Funny for NBC Universal. Previously, he created the narrative comedy Family Dawns for C31 Melbourne which received two Antenna Award nominations, including ‘Best Comedy’.

Nick is formerly a commercial litigation lawyer with Minter Ellison in Melbourne. Nick created the No Violence No Way program which provides legal education on family violence and violence against women through a series of short plays and discussions lead by local community lawyers. Over the last five years, it has been performed to thousands of newly arrived migrants and disadvantaged youths in Melbourne’s outer western suburbs.

In LA, Nick is managed by Alex Hertzberg (Hertzberg Media) and is represented by The Gersh Agency.
