Nick Maxwell: Writer
Nick has worked in the television industry for over ten years as a writer, producer and performer.
As a writer on long-running, topical comedy shows like Rove and The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, Nick has written and produced segments lampooning political figures, which has seen him become the voice of Prime Ministers Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull. Starting out writing and performing sketch comedy on Channel 31, Nick has gone on to host his own radio show on Triple M with co-host Declan Fay, with whom he still presents their podcast, The Sweetest Plum. As well as writing for quiz shows like Hard Quiz and The Chase, Nick created narrative comedy series Warren and Hal produced by Screen Australia and was a key member of the writing team for narrative/sketch comedy show Problems on the ABC.
Nick has recently been in development with Princess Pictures and Bento Box Entertainment as co-writer/creator of animated comedy series, The Cullen Brothers. He is currently a writer/producer on the ABC’s satirical comedy The Weekly with Charlie Pickering where he has also performed as a voice-over artist for all seven series and annual The Yearly specials.
