James Saunders: Writer
James is a writer and actor across Film, TV and Theatre. He has appeared in over 20 Australian TV shows and films and performed in theatres throughout Australia, Europe, North & South America. He’s won Green Room Awards, a Goethe Artist Scholarship to Berlin and most recently he has appeared on TV in Prosper, The Inbestigators, Utopia, Five Bedrooms, True Story with Hamish and Andy and Winners and Losers amongst many others.
James’ TV drama, Majesty is currently under option with Perpetual Entertainment and previously won James a Creative Fellowship at the State Library of Victoria, and the pilot was longlisted for the AWG Monte Miller awards. He is developing a returnable drama, Kin, and the pilot script was longlisted for the AWG Primetime Awards. He is currently developing Do No Harm (eight-part drama), Fugue (ten-part drama) and a returnable dramedy, Represent. James has appeared as a speaker at the NSW Writers Festival and the Wheeler Centre. He has adapted his play, The Harry Harlow Project, for screen (The Science of Love) and it was shortlisted twice for the Sundance/Sloane Commissioning grant. It was also adapted for Radio, airing on ABC Radio’s Earshot.
