Jack Yabsley: Writer and Director
Jack is an award-winning filmmaker with a passion for Australian comedy and showcasing local talent. As the creator and head writer of comedy series Gold Diggers (ABC), he has earned AACTA, ADG, and SPAA nominations, with the series being distributed by CBS (USA). As a director, his feature documentary Kings of Baxter won Best Documentary at both the Antenna and Melbourne Documentary Festivals, earning him an ADG nomination.
Having started his career as host of the country’s most popular kids’ TV shows, Saturday Disney, Totally Wild, and Match It, he has gone on to write and direct on series such as Prank You Very Much, Gogglebox, The Dog House, Play School, Mikki Vs The World, and How To Do Stuff Good. Jack is deeply committed to mentoring and supporting new voices in the industry, fostering the next generations of filmmakers.
