Adam Dunn: Writer
Adam Dunn is an actor and writer from Sydney. After graduating from the Stella Adler Acting Studios in New York, Adam has appeared across stage and screen for the last 15 years. His first foray into writing produced Status Update. A modern day fairytale where everything a man types into his Facebook status comes true. Playing at over 20 festivals across the globe including Flickerfest, it won the Grand Jury Prize at the Friars Comedy Club film festival. His follow up Cash Cow, the story of Channel 7s eponymous mascot in an existential crisis played at the biggest short film festival in the world, Tropfest. Another Tropfest and Flickerfest finalist of his, Drawcard, took home awards at the LA Comedy film festival, Hollyshorts and Miami Film Festival. It was also nominated for an AACTA/ AFI award in the #SocialShorts category. Most recently he’s teamed with good friend Mitch Wright to make online sketch comedy show Dunn Wright. Dedicated to stories that put humans in the most difficult and interesting dilemmas, Adam is always looking for unique ideas that surprise and delight.
As an actor, Adam most recently starring in Baz Luhrmann’s Untitled Elvis Biopic playing Elvis’ audacious upright bassist Bill Black. He’s also starred in the Australian version of the Tony and Olivier winning show The Play That Goes Wrong and its sequel Peter Pan Goes Wrong on national tours with Lunchbox Productions. His most recent film release Crossing Paths, a collaboration with director JJ Winlove (June Again).
