Jonathan Gavin: Writer / Creator
Jonathan was one of the core writers and script producer of the Network Ten comic drama Offspring (Ten), receiving nominations for both the NSW and QLD Premier’s Literary Awards for his work. His other writing credits include the acclaimed dramas Puberty Blues (Ten), Seven Types of Ambiguity (ABC) and The Beautiful Lie (ABC), for which he was nominated for both the AACTA Award for Best Screenplay in Television and AWGIE Award for Best Writing in a Drama Series. He also penned episodes of Mustangs FC for ABC and Party Tricks, Mr and Mrs Murder and Rush for Ten. Jonathan created the drama series Sisters (Ten), which went on to screen on Netflix and was remade for the Fox Network in the USA as Almost Family.
Most recently, Jonathan was one of the writers of the upcoming musical miniseries, In Our Blood (ABC) and the acclaimed drama series, The Newsreader (ABC). He wrote 3 episodes of the adaptation of Michael Robotham’s bestselling thriller, The Secrets She Keeps (Ten), and was the lead writer for midwife drama, Amazing Grace (Nine).
As a playwright, Jonathan’s credits include A Moment on the Lips (winner of the Phillip Parsons Young Playwright Award) and The Business for Company B Belvoir.
